Review – High Waisted Yoga Pants

High Waisted Yoga Pants by Queenie Ke Athletica

rrp: £15-18

Lululemon, if you haven’t heard of this brand then let me tell you, they are THE legging brand with their to die for Luon and Nulu fabrics–can we say butter y’all!! But, unfortunately for some the price range for a pair of Lululemon legging is pretty high, that’s why a lot of brands try to mimic the style and material of the bran. Queenie Ke Athletica is a brand I have found recently through Amazon UK that have a very similar legging to Lululemon’s Wunder Under Hi-Rise. At the price range between £15-£18 I thought it was a no-brainer to try them.

When I got them through the post, I could feel the material was in fact a lot different from the Lululemon brand (86% Nylon 14% Spandex), yet all the seams seemed to fit in the same places as my current pair of Wunder Under’s, except the waistband. Wunder Under’s don’t have a seam in the waistband whereas these have one running just on the inside on the fold over, plus they also have a little in built horizontal pocket in the back of the legging for a key card or something similar. Trying them on at first they felt a little stiff with a few cracks and pops–but don’t worry I checked them over, there seemed to be no broken seams or holes anywhere. Once they were on they seemed to fit really well, I rolled them up a couple of times because your girl here is not blessed with the longest of legs in the world (27″ hip to ankle) and I feel they really showed off my assets and had a great compression without squeezing me or flattening anything down on my body.

I adore the colour, I got these in dark rose red plus they had many, many more colours. I’m currently sat between a medium and large depending the time of them month, so I got these in a medium and they seem the perfect fit and therefore run true to size. Trying them out in the gym on leg day seemed to be a great way to go, but unfortunately they were not the best sweat wicking material (but thats hard to find with me because I’m not going to lie, I sweat A LOT), and I’d 100% recommend wearing nude and seamless underwear as they were a little bit see through during my squats.

Overall, these are a great legging without the heavy price tag of Lululemon, so while you want to save money but still need a decent pair of legging I would recommend trying these out. A big thumbs up from me!! Aldo, just to note – with a centre seam there will be a chance of getting a camel toe depending how your hips are built. I do not get one but a friend of mine did, so please be aware.
