Sophia Legging by POP Fit
RRP: $49.50 / VIP Price: $29.99
You have an obsession with active wear. You see an Instagram advertisement by a company stating FREE LEGGINGS. What do you do? You click the link, that’s what you do. This is exactly what I did when I saw the brand POP Fit were doing just this. There was a price though – the $11 postage and packaging fee. Does that put me off? Hell to the nahh! Obviously being a little skeptical over the company I was too bothered parting with £7ish GBP for postage but I was intrigued.
The leggings were fairly quick with arrival, so talk about being impressed (good choice of courier that’s for sure), the material however felt rather cheap, this made me feel not all that optimistic from the start–especially with a mesh panel running up both sides of the legs. However, putting them on they didn’t feel all that bad, they felt rather comfortable and moved with my body with ease, but that’s probably the only positive point to make out of these leggings.
One of the main issues I found was the waistband. It appeared to have an elastic band that sat, rather unflattering just between the hip and waist causing the “muffin top” effect, now I prefer my leggings to sit just at the waist as it is where the most appealing look is for me. The legging, despite feeling comfortable really didn’t really appear to fit all that well, they do say that the leg is long but these seemed a bit too long and I had the roll them up a few times creating a bulging cuff at the base of my ankles. Also, the material wrinkled and cinched in places that it just shouldn’t–caused by the length? I don’t know. The material unfortunately wasn’t all that forgiving It showed all my lumps and bumps and they definitely were not squat proof.
Overall, for a free legging they weren’t too bad, but as they’re actually selling these leggings at almost $50 (£35!!) they’re just not worth it. I’d probably wear these to lounge around the house but I would not wear these to the gym or wear them as general clothing in public.
